This lesson teaches students all about empathy and how to put themselves in someone else’s shoes.
♥️ Kids love the “in their shoes” interactive centers activity that lets them rotate around the room, stand on a shoes poster, read a scenario card, and imagine what the child on the card may be thinking or feeling.
✨ THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES:
- A PowerPoint and digital for Google Slides™ presentation that teaches students the definition of empathy and perspective-taking, and 3 reasons why empathy is important. Then, it provides 8 scenarios for students to practice showing empathy for others.
- An interactive “in their shoes” centers activity with 10 different colored posters and 24 scenario cards. Set the posters on the ground and ask students to rotate from poster to poster, reading the scenario card, stepping on the shoes, and imagining how the child on the card may be feeling.
