Description
This Coping with Divorce and Separation Workbook educates children on divorce, and lets them reflect on their feelings, thoughts, worries, and questions about the changes in their family. Both a printable and digital for Google Slides™ journal are included, as well as an interactive printable activity that lets students explore how their home lives have changed since before and after the divorce or separation.
⭐ THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES:
✅ A digital for Google Slides™ interactive version of the journal with drag-and-drop activities and fillable text boxes
✅ A printable version of the journal
✅ A printable activity with 20 clipart characters that students choose from to represent themselves and their family members. Students place the family members on the “before” house to show who they lived with before the separation or divorce, and then place their family members on the separate “after” houses to show where their family members live now.
✅ Children learn:
- The definition of divorce and separation
- To process and explore their feelings surrounding the changes in their family
- To identify their worries and concerns
- How to express their feelings, thoughts, and needs
- To ask questions so they can better understand divorce or separation
- Their “rights” as children in a divorce or separation
- To identify safe, trustworthy grown-ups they can talk to
- 9 coping strategies
- How to find the good and positive parts of a challenging situation
✂️ NOTES: I recommend having hook-and-loop fastener dots on hand for the printable activity.
