Description
This Meet the School Psychologist lesson teaches middle schoolers about size of the problem, the role of the school psychologist, and when to ask for help.
✨ The main idea is: “School psychologists help students ride the waves of life!” We teach students “how to surf” by supporting, guiding, helping, and encouraging them through the many “waves” that middle school brings.
☀️ The ocean and surfing theme is SO FUN and memorable!

- 14 examples of “waves” that can hit in middle school (i.e. anxiety, peer pressure, friendship issues)
- 3 ocean-themed sizes of the problem: “ripple” (small), “wave” (medium), “tidal wave” (large)
- 9 examples of each type of problem
